Harvest will provide major group equipment, including tents for camping (all trips camp in tents) and stoves for cooking. You will be responsible for your personal equipment, listed below. Please read this list carefully. Remember to look in your attic or basement before you go to the store. We have a very limited number of sleeping bags which can be rented from us if necessary for a cost of $25.
Though we will be staying on one farm for the entire Harvest trip, we don’t want to show up with enough stuff to fill up a barn (or tent)! Limit yourself to ONE medium-sized duffle bag or frame pack for this trip. While you should leave your hair-dryer at home, farm living does allow for some amenities, so bring along your guitar or favorite songbook to share on the trip. You can also bring an overnight bag to store at Yale, in case there are some extra things that you want before the trips leave, and immediately after they get back (see “Moving to Yale”).
